Johnny: insecure private rented

Johnny moved from a hostel into a private rented flat with his two children, encouraged to do so because of the severe shortage of social rented properties due to their sell-off due to Thacther’s Right to Buy (RtB) Policy. The flat was on a council estate, which had been sold off through RtB, and cost him around four times as much per month as his neighbour’s equivalent council flat. In this video he talks about the distress of living what is effectively insecure, unaffordable housing: https://www.debbiehumphry.com/?portfolio=johnny-housing
